We have built up our own special range of doors and feature fittings, custom made in our workshop. This allows us to maintain consistency of quality and exclusivity of design.

We are not restricted in our use of materials, using products such as new and recycled timbers, veneers, craft wood or laminate finishes. Painted finishes include two-pack polyurethane, and our specialty is a unique hand painted style. Dana Kitchens also have a diverse range of timber bench tops to choose from, including recycled Silky Oak, Hardwood, Hoop Pine and Oak just to name a few. Other bench materials include, Granite, Quartz, Corian, Stainless Steel and Laminates, all of which are carefully selected to complement the design and your budget.

Jurek Polkowski was born in Melbourne in 1950, and his background is richly flavoured by European art and culture. He graduated in Business Studies in 1970 and Hotel Management in 1973, and after extensive experience in these areas, decided to go into Interior Design. Since 1987, Jurek has gained accreditation as CKD, worked with a number of the top manufacturers and design centres in Melbourne and Brisbane in all aspects of interior cabinetry, and has won an award for top Victorian designer in his particular category. Jurek joined the Dana team in 2004. He specialises in both contemporary and traditional design, and has collaborated extensively with both architects and interior designers. On occasion he conducts Kitchen Planning Seminars on behalf of some of the top appliance retailers in Brisbane.

Peter Barrass' initial creativity and interest in design led him to become a qualified Jeweller, a field he worked in for over 10 years. From there, for 16 years he worked for Australia's leading kitchen appliance companies from Sydney to Brisbane, helping people and companies with their appliance needs. This has given him a lot of helpful industry knowledge that can be used to your advantage. Peter has been part of Dana Kitchens' design team since 2006. With a helpful nature, creative and imaginative ideas, he will help you design a beautiful yet practical working space in your home that you and your family will enjoy for many years to come.

Leif Jensen, a trained Architect and Cabinetmaker, owned and operated a domestic and commercial builders business in Denmark for over 20 years.

After emigrating to Australia in 1982 with his wife Lis, Leif established Dana Kitchens in 1983. From the humble beginnings of a home based workshop, in five years Dana had grown and needed to move to a 600sq meter factory at Darra in Brisbane and at the same time opened the now landmark showroom in Toowong.

His son, Bo Jensen, now owns and operates the business. Bo's experience and hands on approach ensures that Dana Kitchens still operates with the same quality personalised service and workmanship that was the successful foundation of the company.

At Dana Kitchens we have our own factory where our kitchens, bathrooms and furniture are built on demand. When you order from us, you get a custom made job.
